  • Pricing covers the cost of the items only and does not include services such as installation, bulbs, rods, hanging, delivery, receiving or storage unless explicitly specified.
  • Inventory items are sold “as is” and may have minor imperfections (e.g., scratches). These items are heavily discounted and do not incur freight fees.

  • All Sales Final: All purchases made through Murphy Maude Interiors are final. We do not offer returns, exchanges, refunds, or credits, except where otherwise explicitly agreed upon
  • Product Variations: As many of our products are handcrafted and custom-made, slight variations in wood grain, color, and stitching may occur. These natural differences are not considered defects. Additionally, it is normal for new rugs to shed temporarily.
  • Custom Orders: By placing a custom order, you are approving all selections made in collaboration with our design team. Please note that comfort, item scale, or changes in personal preference are not valid reasons for return or exchange.

Manufacturing Defects and Damage Reporting:

  • Limited Warranty: Most products come with a one-year (or longer) warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the delivery date. This does not cover transportation damage, accidents, or wear and tear. **In the case that warranty needs to be filed we will bill at our hourly rate. **
  • Damage Reporting & Inspection Period: Any discrepancies, defects, damages, or shortages must be reported to Murphy Maude Interiors within 48 hours of receiving your order. Claims should be submitted in writing, with relevant documentation, such as photographs of damaged items, descriptions of defects, or proof of discrepancies in quantity. After this period, you are responsible for any issues, except for manufacturer defects.
  • Upholstery: Manufacturers do not guarantee upholstery against shrinkage, color fastness, feather migration, or fabric pilling.

Cabinetry Warranty Terms:

Warranty on parts is limited to that of the Cabinet manufacturer. Below represents MMI’s warranty on service.

  • Installer & Service Call Coverage: If our installer was not used, there is no warranty coverage for free service calls. If our installer was used, there is one year of free service calls to address any manufacturer warranty issues.
  • Payment Requirement: To be eligible for warranty service, the client must have 1) Used an MMI-approved installer, and 2) Pay the bill in full at the time of the initial cabinet delivery. Please note that certain parts and pieces may be delivered later as we address any punch list items with the installer.
  • Replacement Parts: We are happy to order and deliver any replacement parts covered under warranty. However, if parts are lost, damaged, or otherwise compromised after our inspection and delivery, the client will be responsible for the cost of replacement parts.
  • Warranty Resolution Timeline: We are advocates for the client in warranty matters, but we are not responsible for the timeline during which warranty issues are resolved. Timeliness of any replacement parts is at the discretion of the manufacturer, and we cannot guarantee the speed of any replacements.

  • Fees for receiving, storage, and delivery are not included in the proposal and will be billed separately. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice, whether from Murphy Maude Interiors or a third-party vendor.
  • Murphy Maude Interiors is responsible for organizing and overseeing the delivery and installation of products to the point of completion. However, any additional expenses, such as labor, travel, accommodation, and fuel, may be charged to the client.

Payment Terms:

    • Payment is due within 10 days of receiving the proposal/invoice.
    • A 10% late fee will be added to any outstanding balance after 10 days of the payment due date.
Late payments may delay the processing of orders and delivery of goods or services. Please note that failure to receive payment as per the agreed terms will result in a temporary pause of your project until the outstanding balance is settled.

Contract Fulfillment

    • Upon completion of the agreed-upon design services outlined in the original scope of work, any further work required will be billed at the Company’s standard hourly rate, unless such work falls under warranty coverage as described in the Company’s Terms and Conditions.
    • Any additional services or work requested by the Client outside the original scope of the agreement will require prior approval from the Company. Such services will be billed separately at the hourly rate and may incur additional charges based on the scope and requirements of the work.
    • Any work that is covered under manufacturer warranty, as specified in the Manufacturers Terms and Conditions, will not incur additional design time charges for one year post installation. Thereafter if the designer is required for resolution of warranty matters the fee reverts to $175 an hour.
